I don't see a way to change from a flat view to a threaded view. One post mentioned Changing your "Display Preference" and I can't seem to find anything like that. At least not under my profile settings.
I really loved that option. Granted, I use flat most of the time anyway, but sometimes it helps to see the treeview to understand what the heck is going on in some threads.
Can't we consider bringing the tree view back one day?
But trimming features because of the % of the time they're used is pretty bad reasoning.
How many people use the [list] tag? Yet we don't cut that feature out. Imagine if M$ cut out chkdsk or even the console entirely because it was only used 3% of the time? Or if M$ stopped selling Visual Studio because only 0.00001% of M$ Windows consumers buy Visual Studio? That's pretty hairy logic.
What the tree view was, was a debugging tool for when a thread has gone awry. And I miss having that debugging tool. Manually trying to rebuild that tree by following the "in reply to" links is not nearly as useful of a feature.
