Hello folks,

I just read Toms May 26th 2005 review on probably the best 19" gaming LCD's available at this time and when I searched the net for a good price for the ViewSonic VP191b, I've noticed that some spec sheets state that the response time is 16ms and then on others the response time is 8ms, just as stated in Toms May 26th 2005 review. Are there 2 versions, a older one and a newer one with Overdrive technology, of the ViewSonic VP191b?

I was also wondering if there are ViewSonic 20-21" LCD's that have the same specs or better of the ViewSonic VP191b with the ViewSonic Overdrive technology and if not are they planning on releasing 20-21" versions anytime in the near future?

I thank everyone ahead of time for any useful info provided.

Yes, there are two versions...the new version will state 8ms refresh rate on the spec sheet and the box itself will have an 8ms sticker on the front. Newegg and ZipZoomFly seem to both be selling the new version.

Hello shredman,

Thanks for the info.

I've also come to learn that there are "3" version of this Viewsonic LCD, a 20ms version, a 16ms version and now the newest 8ms version, man they sure dont want to make it easy on LCD buyers do they, heh.

NOW what I really want to know is this: is there a 20-21" version made by Viewsonic that uses the same Overdrive technology that's currently being used by newest 19" VP191b 8ms version?

If there isn't a 20-21" version then does anyone know when or if they will release a 20-21" Overdrive technology version that has the same specs or better of their Viewsonic 19" VP191b 8ms LCD?
