Hey guys. I have recently mounted a virtual drive to my computer. When I was done using it, I couldn't get it to eject. Now a few days later after ignoring it I am deciding to eject it. Every time I try it says error occured. I'm assuming the computer can't find the .iso that was connected to mount it. I tried uninstalling the program and restarting. Still can't eject. Any idea?

Thank you so much in advance.

Solution
What specific virtual drive software you using? And what's the exact error? Sometimes, I have to open the actual virtual drive software, Unmount all drives then close the software. I use Daemon Tools Lite.

Solution
Was Power ISO the only program you had installed to create your virtual drives? If yes, I'm thinking of risking reinstalling Power ISO and ejecting the virtual disk via the program itself (or better yet, delete/unmount the "drive" perhaps?) vs explorer (unless that's how you do it) but I'm not sure if there's a chance that it will make more problematic "drives" for you 😛 Otherwise, I'd find out if it's a previous software that's holding that virtual drive captive.

Oh glad to hear that :) I really enjoy being part of this community myself (though most of the time I only post problems more than solutions). Cheers!

The solution is simple.

Start PowerISO (version 6.1, but I think It will work for previous versions too), go to Options, then Configuration, search for Virtual Drive (on top) and change Number of Virtual Drives to <Disabled>.

I made an account to thumbs up your solution and to tell you that this worked for me. Thank you.
