Question Virtual Machine setup on HPE server asking for driver update but driver hardware missing?

Hi,

I’m currently setting up Hyper-V on my HPE DL360 Gen10 server running Microsoft Datacenter OS 2022. While configuring the VM with Windows 11, I encountered a message prompting me to install drivers in order to connect to the network.

I’ve tried locating the necessary drivers on the HPE website but haven’t had any luck so far. Could you assist me in getting the VM set up with a standard Windows configuration?

If the host pc has working network adapters and up to date drivers (check in device manager) then the vm has its virtual hardware and you don't install drivers inside the vm. Check the host networking first.

Im not sure if you are set on HyperV but vmware workstation 17 is free for personal use and an excellent vm alternative.
