Virtual memory problem!!

Every time i start my win2k i get an error at the beginning..
win2k resets the virtual memory paging size for all my driver to only
20MB.......

i can alter it myself by entering "system properties" --> advanced -->
performance options --> change

and everytime i change it and windows accepts the changes without
restarting..

does anybody know what the problem may be=?

After you change it do you hit the "set" button?

Kinda like in NT4 you had to commit disk changes in disk manager or nothing would change.

oh YEAH I CLICK yes, and windows accepts it and on the prior screen it also states that there are about 500mb virtual memory... and everything is good, untilli restart..
