Question Virtualization not enabled in bios for Foxconn 2AA9

hello. I have a frustrating issue. CPU Athlon II x250 on a Foxconn 2AA9 motherboard. According to various tools, this board has a BIOS (dated 2010/04/22) a SMBIOS (American Megatrends v 6.04) and AMD AGESA v 3.7.0.0 Virtualization disabled in bios, no option to enable. And I have a ton of VM Memory (128TB!!!) and not a bit/byte of it is accessable. :(

So, Foxconn is a blackhole on the internet - because China, etc. so, no love. I researched coreboot and IDK. What I do know is that I cannot use VM on THIS machine until I fix/enable virtualization on the cpu. p
Please advise.

That motherboard model supports up to 16GB of RAM...where did you see 128TB? o_O
Which PC manufacturer?
Which OS (32-bit/64-bit)?
Could you post a photo of the BIOS advanced settings where virtualization is disabled?

Why do you want to enable Virtualization? it won't help with your RAM.

I don't think you understand how RAM works on Windows.

I have 16GB of RAM installed in my system. Here is my Speccy.

Windows virtual memory is managed by Windows automatically unless you did not set it to be managed automatically.

You have 4.75 GB of RAM in your system. Which is weird.

Can you tell me what is your RAM and how much you have exactly?

The only thing that comes to mind is 6GB (4GB+2GB) of RAM and the missing amount is used by integrated graphics.

Yes. I have a prototype for a vlan which incorporates AI. The cpu of the machine which will host the VM and its server must have virtualization also. it does not all have to be dedicated, but it still must be present.
 
try clearing the CMOS, by removing the power cord and then pressing the pwr button for 5 sec, then remove the cmos battery and wait 5 minutes before putting it back.

I know that if you restart your computer the option is greyed out in the BIOS but if you shutdown the PC and you boot it again and go in the BIOS for some people they can change it then.
 
It will help to know the exact model of the computer or motherboard, since there are several versions available of the same motherboard.
(e.g. Foxconn H-Alpinia-RS780L-uATX [2AA9], Alpinia GL8 [2AA9]
HP uses that motherboard in several HP & Compaq models and the BIOS and BIOS settings on those systems differ from one another.

HP/Comapq have several BIOS updates after v6.04 (2010)... as resent as 2015 (v8.21).
With the right information we could check if a BIOS update could allow enabling that feature.

What is fascinating to me is that while researching this issue I have found evidence that the microcode was revised, at least once, and that this machine either was or should have had an EFI/UEFI option, but only the layering is left to suggest it. I will scour HP again. I did get sidetracked by the AMD AGESA thing.
