Virus, cannot launch Live Mail...how to get emails and contacts?

My computer got infected, and I cannot launch Windows Live Mail in order to export contacts and emails. Even in safe mode, Live Mail is telling me that there is not enough memory or disk space to launch (but there is plenty of each).

I'd rather not lose all my emails and contacts. Is there a folder I can back up to a thumb drive? Or is there a way to force startup of Live Mail so that I can export through that?

I'll probably end up formatting and doing a fresh install. Thanks.

Well you don't want to be opening any kind of mailer that keeps the email and info stored directly on your pc if its infected.. Isn't all of that information saved and stored to your account as well and not just on that pc? have you tried logging on with a different pc? A reformat and fresh install of windows is always the easiest and best bet to get rid of infections.
