Question Virus help (lol)

So a few months back I accidentally downloaded a virus onto my computer while my virus protection was off. Smart I know. I've done this before though and had just wiped my hard drive and got a fresh setup of windows. This time however when I put in the windows 10 cd nothing happens and I get a boot screen that tells me to select proper boot device any help is appreciated

what are specs of PC?

could be that secure boot or Fast boot is on, and PC just ignores the installer.

Simply go to BIOS and select DVDrom as 1st bootable device.
remember to disable it after install or take CD our of the drive otherwise this will constantly boot via CD.
