Virus Need Help

I came across a misleading.fakeav Hkey virus. Basically a trojan. I scanned for it using IObit and it found it and I thought I got rid of it but I guess not. My initial problem was I browsing youtube and out of nowhere, I'd get tossed to another video randomly withing seconds and then again and again. Really irritating. I've tried everything that I could think of with a friends help and I guess the virus has attached itself in other places other than my registry. I'm trying to figure out a way I can get rid of this manually so that I won't have to spend close to 100 dollars at a computer shop. Any links or really good descriptive help would be ideal for helping me get rid of this thing. Please and thank you. I'm not all that tech savvy.

Disable system restore. Close browsers before you you remove whatever with adwcleaner.

See if adwcleaner removes it.

Run it click on scan, wait for it to finish. Then click on clean wait for that to finish then reboot

I don't know how to disable system restore. I know how to have system restore done but I have a lot of files on my computer and no external drive to remove all my files off of this computer. I only have a usb and that could take me hours alone but even if I did that, if the virus attached itself to any of my file/folders, I still have the potential to place it back on my computer. with IObit I am not sure. it was recommended by a friend. I guess it comes with malware IObit fighter and advanced systemcare
