Hello, I recently got installed a new OS window ultimate 64 bit. After afew eeks i noticed that the genuine window logo in the computer properties dissapeared and asked for a vlaidation. I tried to use my old 32 window ultimate serial and an error pops up related to a problem with the IOS of some kind.

Tried multiple times and when i couldnt take it anymore i looked for a bypass for the OS. What happened next was my computer rebooting after the ¨bypass program¨ and giving no video besides a blinking cursor. A few days ago i got a calll from the company that built my pc and as well was repairing it tleling me my HDD had to be replaced because every time they tried to install the OS it didnt register or could be saved.

Im wondering if it is the bypass progra or it was mere coincidence.

PD: nMy HDD is or was a SeaGate Barracuda 7200 1 year old after the incident.

First of all. Will you really call ahcking when i already bought the OS and i had some weird error that not evne microsfot support center could help me?.

I dont want help. Its all figured out and repaired now. Im asking why this happened, if was by either a virus or another reason. Knowing never hurts. I had to buy a new HDD and pay for another OS.

The reaosn i want to know is because i want to know if the responsible was the virus then i will know for certain i did wrong and could have been avoided. But if it isnt i need to know what things can cause it to avoid it happening to the new HDD.

While I don't know why it happened, I have had hard drives crap out on me like yours did (not through the same way though). I fixed them with "Darik's Boot and Nuke." It takes a couple hours but fixed an old IDE hard drive that wasn't storing anything and another SATA drive that had bad sectors. If you still have the drive then you could try fixing it.
