i have a visiontek xtasy ti4400 and i downloaded coolbits. i installed some heat sinks on the ram by mixing arctic silver two with epoxy (it works!) and i have 2 8cm fans on the side of my case blowing directly on the card, and lots of other fans too.
I can only put memory at like 650 otherwise i see artifacts in UT and in 3d mark, and gpu can go 330 or so. what should i expect from this card, and with my cooling solution. fastwrites are on, 4x, any other details you need to know to give me an idea just ask.
ty for the info!

PS: would a new gpu cooler, say a golden orb, help?

The first LAN I went to was at a PETA convention. They booted me after I shot a zombie in HL DM!
Edited by Willamette_sucks on 05/23/02 09:20 PM.

Sounds like a pretty good overclock of 100MHz on the RAM. The core really can't go much higher. Even the Ti4600's core is stuck at 330-335MHz. I'm sure of you used better cooling/modding, you'll be able to go higher, but that is not a bad overclock at all. Most Ti4400 cards get to about 670MHz RAM, then no further.

Crabs qualify, not sure why they got so upset.
😎

On the other hand, thats a damn fine overclock. You can't go higher with anything, thats pushing the limit.
