I was in the market for the fastest Card out there and when I got in the store {compUSA} I ended up settling for a Visiontek ATI RadeonX1600XT.512mb I really wanted the X1900XT. I also ordered the Intel 955 based chipset Motherboard and 1 gig of ddr2 5300 Ram and a Intel D 930 3.0 CPU.
What I would like to know is will I notice any difference in gameplay with say battlefield 2 or F.E.A.R . Should I have spent more$$ for the 1900 or is the 1600XTX more than enouph speed for the latest games out there?

X1600 is not a performer. You damn well should have dropped for the X1900.

Assuming your other specs are up to par, you'll notice a big difference. Why did you end up settling for X1600XT? If you play BF2 and Fear and you've got the dough, go get X1900XT.

Well The Store was out of stock on the 1900 and the sales person was no help so I just decided to get it. I had a Radeon 9800 pro 128 mb that got burned so I was just looking for something faster now that I had to buy a new video card, although I found the 9800 was quite good . I hope the 1600XTX will be a noticable difference when I complete my rig. If not then I will trade in. LOL

It's far from the fastest card out there. The 1900XT is worlds better than the X1600XT. That upgrade will not be as good as you probably would like.
