Howdy,
Have an Asus N50Vn and the fan stopped working some time ago, so ordered a new one.
(In the meantime, have it on top some cooling fans, jacked up on medicine bottle caps, with a desk fan sucking on it's exhaust port ... works if I'm careful)

For the life of me, I cannot find the solution to my problem. My BIOS is up to date, graphics card driver is up to date, under power options, there is no setting for fan, nor in BIOS. (or device manager, or anywhere I can find)

When I used to use it before this situation, you could hear the fan whir faster if you did something media rich, like flash games on facebook. So, the fan is variable speed I know that, 4-pin.

I've got a couple photos I'll see if I can post them on here ... I've been looking so hard and just can't find the 'on' button.
