Vista Availablity

Has anyone heard when Vista is suppose to be ready for Sale and for OEM?

I heard from ASAP (software distributor) and they said it was suppose to go GA (General Availability) in 2008!

7 Years after XP and we get the next generation.......... What are all the people at Redmond doing? Must be playing donkey kong on WIN 3.1 PCs.....

Also wonder what their upgrade price will be 399 or even 1000 if you want Office 12 with your Vista.

I was told last year it was to be 4th Qtr 2006 but then the ASAP rep said 2008 and that was unacceptable......

And if you search on the web, no where does MS give customers a clue of their intentions on a date for release......

I hope they keep to the end of 2006 time frame!

All of this doesn't mean it will happen then. It's already been delayed twice. Not a good sign.

I think MS is horrid in their estimated time of deployment. If they were in charge of D-Day, we would still be lining up the ships to deploy the troops awaiting the perfect sequence of tides and lulls in the water.

Jokingly, Meanwhile over half the Allied forces are dead nor can remember what they are there for.....
