Vista boot mouse and keyboard disable

Hello i have a window vista home basic my son boot the pc and restarted both mouse and keyboard arent working. what can i do since i cant enter my password

Are they both USB devices?

Look in the bios and check to see that USB and or USB Legacy are enabled.
