Vista crashed

my vista laptop has crashed while updating,then shuts down, when i turn laptop back on it goes straight back to updates and crashes at the same place

Try booting into safe mode (f8 on startup). Disable updates, then restart back into normal windows.

Go to the update page and find out which update is trying to download.
