I insert my Windows Vista install disc, I have already changed the bios to boot from the optical drive first, everything is running fine, my bios detect my Seagate ST31000524AS (1TB 6gb/s 7200rpm) just fine, so I start installing Vista by first selecting my language, I get to the part where you're supposed to select unallocated space for the system to install to, but my hard drive doesn't show up? I've used diskpart in the command prompt to no avail, it recognizes the hard drive as disk 0, but I am unable to create any partitions on it because I am unfamiliar with how to properly use diskpart. This is a home built system and the drive is new, oem style, bare. Does anyone have any ideas or possibly the ability to teach me to use diskpart properly?

Use 3rd party Easeus Partition Manager - It is much Easier !
