So i have a "litle" problem. Few months ago i installed linux ubuntu 12.04 and at begining i was very happy of it.
Then i found everything cool programs and they didn`t work with my ubuntu.
So i made windows vista install disk (DVD). It wasnt a torrent it was official download (one exe file and i opened it with wine and boot.wim and install.wim).
I have tryed everything, changed bios settings and rewritten the disk many times etc.
But its not booting. I tryed with my dads win 7 disk and it booted with my hp 550 laptop and i tryed to boot this win vista disk with my dads compter but it doesnt boot.
And yes, i have a product key for win vista home basic 32bit.
I will be very happy if someone can help me and i get my lovely vista back 😀

Reset the boot order to the default settings
To reset the boot order to the default settings, follow the steps below.
Turn on or restart the computer.
While the display is blank, press the f10 key to enter the BIOS settings menu.
Press the f9 key to reset the BIOS to the default settings.
Press the f10 key to save the changes and exit the BIOS settings menu.

So i tryed it and didnt get it work. When i downloaded vista files (exe file, boot.wim, install.wim) i put them to same directory and runned the exe file with wine (windows program loader) so i get directory called "vista" and i burned it to iso file and then burned it to DVD+RW disk.
When i try to start vista installation on my ubuntu (with wine ofcourse) i get it to start but then i get error message because my hard drive is not formated to ntfs. (i can format it in vista installation).

You can't run Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows OS in the same partition, you need to put the Vista in its own partition then when you boot, select the OS you wish to use.

Better to use a separate hard drive for Vista, you only need about 80gb hdd.
