Hello everyone!

Just got a question here.. Im upgrading my mobo on my computer and I have the Asus M5a97 in mind. I was doing some research and noticed a thread saying this mobo likely will only recognize up to 4gb of memory if you are running windows vista. Can anyone verify this? (I know i need to get out of vista lol).

Thanks.

Hello,:hello:

ASUS M5A97 Motherboard supports upto 32GB of memory. It has 4 slots for memory and max per slot is 4GB. You can find the compatible memory in the following link - Click here!!:bounce:

If you are into overclocking or intend to do so then try getting memory with decent heat spreaders preferrably GSkill, Corsair or Kingston HyperX from Newegg.com or Amazon.com

Coming to your question - as mentioned in the above post the 4GB memory limit is only for 32Bit OS. If you install a 64Bit OS then you do not have to worry about it however there might be a small amount of memory allocated to Graphics (on-board graphics) and the other hardware components.

Good luck with the upgrade. Cheers, mate.:hihi:
