Vista making backups without permission

I notice approximately once a week, that Vista will make mirrors of my C: drive on all 4 of my external hard drives.
There's nothing switched on to schedule this event, any thoughts?

I wouldn't mind so much, but it's 106GB copy, surely this would cost me some disc speed loss, if it does it while I use.

have you checked your scheduled tasks and made sure nothing is in there?
