Vista missing operating system

Hello,

Basically i get the message 'operating system missing' at start up, now i have fixed this before by doing numerous things, such as installing the vista disc and running a startup check and memory diagnostic, i also found that my usb wire for my ipod caused this too. M problem now is that i have nothing plugged into my computer and i am getting this message everytime i start my computer up, i have to work out for hours why and try fixing it! is there anything i need or can do to stop this from happening every single time i boot up my computer, it is quite irritating!

Try performing a Startup Repair. The site below will guide you through this. After looking into your problem a bit it looks like running a startup repair fixed this problem for other people!

I suspect the problem may be related to Itunes and or your iPod.
After you repair the startup, uninstall Itunes and stop connecting your iPod for a few days and see if the problem stops.
