vista not working with my system

I have just bought myself a fx 4100 and a mobo that supports it I did all my research and am using windows vista 32 bit from my old pc but when I power up it turns on gets to the loading screen the dies and restarts but just befor it dies a blue screen with writing appears for half a second. And I cant figger out what I wrong I am using the old hard drive aswell so should I try installing the drivers on it first withmy old pc than pput it together? Any help much appreciated.

My first and honest sugestion is to not install vista.
I find it hard to even name any other problems when someone has vista, it is such a bad OS, and causas so manyb problems (fromn my experience with it) that i recommend strongly that noone uses it.
 
If all you did was move the hard drive from one motherboard to another then it's no surprise that it won't boot. You will need to, at the very least, perform a repair installation. If your old installation is OEM then you will also have to purchase a new copy as the OEM license does not allow for a motherboard change.
