Vista printer icon

Hello,
Added printer, driver all ok, ran 'Fix It' says no problems, test print still in queue. tried to print for last 5hrs -won't! but printer icon appeared on taskbar for the 1st time but for the old printer I have deleted to tell me it does not exist.
Any help very welcome. Ta

Uninstall any print drivers found in device manager. Delete any printer and reinstall.
