Vista sp1

Why must you have vista sp1 to upgrade to win 7 And didn't sp2 cover that also. But of course you hsve to have sp1 to install sp2.

The only reason would be that there are files that SP1 updates that are needed for a proper upgrade to 7. And yes SP2 is OK to have also before an upgrade.

If you want a full explination the best bet would be to contact MS and find someone in their development group to ask.
