Vista start up problems

I have had my visa laptop for about a year.It is a vista compaq presario f500. Lateley i have spotted viruses on my computer.I Previously have downloaded many legit softwares to scan my computer then remove what they can.Some said i have 2threats and 69 infections, another said i had over 200 problems with the registry(idk what that is) and im rly fustrated at this point.Now my laptop has starting problems.It rarely works opperates starting up like its suppose to.It continuously restarts after u press the on button once.So now if i get super lucky it will load until it gets to the screen where it says windows error recovery. then sometimes i press either launch start up repair(freezes) or start windows normally(freezes)if im really lucky it will work like regulary then freeze 10mins later...Please help me whoever can christmas is tommorrow.What a great gift it would be for my computer to work...

If there's no important data stored on the hard drive, easy way is to use Recovery Manager to restore system to orginal condition.

Ahh. This is fustrating i tried the link but it just wont work i turn on then turn wireless swtch on then restart (i have to do it really fast before the computer restarts again by itslef) after it comesback on i press f11 but nothin shows it jsut restarts again by itself..

When the computer powers on either holddown F11 key or keep tapping F11, until you get the recovery manager. If you miss it, keep retrying, until the turkey is well cooked j/k 😀 .

I just did everything the correct way i held down the f11 button after start up the COMPAQ thingy poped up it made a loud noise then restarted -_- im sure there has to be another solution im open to any suggestion please help i need my computer to work for tomorow thx in advance

Try booting into safe mode with networking (f8 on startup).

If safe mode is stable, download, install, and update malwarebytes. Do a full system scan. Remove any infections it finds.

After malwarebytes is done, download ccleaner, and scan/repair your registry.
http://www.ccleaner.com/download

Both programs are free and work very well.

Vista isn't that bad. With a little customization, the performance can be vastly improved.
