Vista to Windows8 upgrade

You will need to buy a 8.1 licence and do HP supply drivers for your laptop and Windows 8.1? If no drivers are available Id advise against it as you can end up with issues you cannot resolve. It might work but the cost of a licence to then find it doesn't work properly is a concern.

Thank you @sizzling. Maybe I will try to download a non-license Windows 8 first to test if it will work or not.
Do you think the Windows 8 fits the hardware requirements of my laptop?

Vista was very resource heavy. From a hardware point of view 8.1 is much lighter and should run better if the drivers are good.

Maybe I will be struggling to find all the drivers once Win8 is completed.
Thank you for the information.

The Windows default drivers might be ok but I have seen trackpads and function keys stop working when drivers are not available. Give it a go

Appreciate it, thank you. Anyways, do you know where could i download Windows 8.1 though? :)
