Vista wont reset DSN

Here is my issue I Have My main desktop running vista Home attached to a microsoft wireless router , if i lose power and re boot i lose connection to the internet
i attempt to repair the connection thru network connections Vista give me an error message Can't rest DSN bla bla bla! But if i connect my laptop which has xp to the router via cat 5
i hit repair it in network settings and Boom connected to internet no issues and the vista is also connected any ideas how or why i have to depend to my xp laptop to reset

The way I see your pc won;t resolve it's DNS that is why it's not getting connected to the internet everytimr you reboot your pc.I suggest you try setting a specified DNS settings on your pc.Please visit Http://www.opendns.com for comprehensive information.
