Vista x64 and RAID 0

For some reason I cant get Vista x64 to run RAID 0 on my machine.. I have an asus m2n-sli deluxe mothoboard with phenom cpu and 4gb RAM.. Vista x32 and enterprise work with RAID 0 on my machine.. also Vista x64 runs on my machine but only if its not in RAID 0 configuration.. I have tried loading the raid drivers from asus websites... tried installing once without drivers (vista 64 saw the hd's) and once with the raid drivers

Any suggestions?

are you setting up the raid using bios settings?

I enable it in BIOS and set it up by hitting like F10 or something after the bios screen flashes and loads the drives and everything up...

do you made the array before the windows installation?, or the OS has been installed before the RAID.

I've made the raid before all versions of vista have been installed.. the only version of vista that doesnt work with raid is 64 bit

And the driver is the correct for x64? I did a RAID 1 on x64...but never was stable...

The board apparently supports hardware RAID.

I was going to download the manual (PDF) but it was a bit large.

When I set up RAID on my motherboard I had it set up as software RAID at first and needed drivers. I then realised that I could use the onboard hardware RAID and configured the SATA drives in the BIOS with no need for drivers. I just needed the drive cables connected to the correct SATA ports on the MB.

This is on my gigabyte motherboard, but the same rule should apply shouldn't it?
