I have been experiencing visual glitches mostly occurring at higher framerates. I am seeing it in GTA at high settings and high framerate, but once I drop everything to the lowest setting, it stops. The visual glitches can also cause crashes at times. I tested this again on an old game like DS3 that is locked at 60fps and I have no problems at all. I was able to recreate this glitch and record it in heaven benchmark (it is not always stars that flash like shown in recording sometimes objects will flash different colors randomly). Is this signs of a bad card? How can I fix this?

Solution
This is artifacting, it's usually caused by VRAM that is either getting too hot or dying. Check your VRAM temps through applications like GPU-Z or HWiNFO
Is this what you are talking about? The "memory junction" temp? Is this too hot? View: https://imgur.com/a/3fgItpM

Yeah, the memory junction temp. Is this while you're running the benchmark? After? Those temps look nominal, memory temps on the 3080's can go as high as 100c, though they shouldn't go beyond 95 for long durations. If this is the max temps you're getting while in the benchmark then something else is going on with your memory. If you still have warranty on the card, I'd suggest RMA'ing it as soon as you can.

That temp was just at idle. I ran a stress test in 3D mark and here is the results. Still within a normal range. Would the GPU be the only possible cause of the artifacting? Is there any chance that it is the motherboard? I broke the small clip on the PCIe slot, but I made sure it is still seated properly. I have had issues with my monitor flickering in the past. Any chance that could be it? If not I will RMA.

The simple fact that you're able to record it means the monitor's not the issue, and simply breaking the plastic clipon the GPU slot wouldn't be enough to cause this kind of issue, as long as the card is inserted and stable in the slot that should be enough. A damaged motherboard can't cause this kind of issue either, likely other performance issues would arise, not visual ones like this.
Also those temps still don't reach max temps, so then the issue is simply attributed to defective VRAM (I assume you're not overclocking either if you are then return it to default settings). Proceed with RMA, defective GPU memory cannot be easily replaced, and trying to fix the issue yourself can only lead to voiding your warranty, which is just not worth it in the end if you can easily replace it.

Ok thank you for clearing that up. I have done overclocking with MSI afterburner, but I made sure it was on default for the test. And even when I did OC it was very minimal. I will submit the RMA thank you for your help!
