Vive controller rattle

Hey, recently I was playing in vr and accidently hit something with the htc vive controller, and now whenever I move or shake it, it makes a really annoying rattling sound, it’s like there and hundreds of tiny balls shaking around, it is extremely frustrating. Is there any way to fix this or do I have to buy a new one? Also how comes there are no replacement controllers.

The issue may be a DIY fix, but be warned it could void your warranty.

You can purchase replacement controllers, but THEY ARE EXPENSIVE!!! ($130 on amazon for 1!)

When the whole system is $500, at some point you just buy a new system.
As a person who has smacked his dry-wall too many times..I am just waiting for the new knuckle controllers before upgrading to a Pro.
