Hello,

I recently purchased an 8800gts 320mb card and I was wondering if it supported VIVO? Basically, I want to connect my video camera to my PC and digitize the videos (that are currently recorded to tape).

If its not supported, are there any cheap products that I can use to do this?

Thanks.

Its a really old camera, it only has those 3 RCA cables (yellow and red/white) for output.
I figured there was some way to connect it using the VIVO feature if it was supported, which I assumed it was due to it being a rather high-end card.

I guess I'll go for a video capture card then. Thanks for the help.

edit:

I just doublechecked, it also has svideo output... if that helps any?

I already did, it says something about a VIVO adapter being provided (which I didn't get). Apart from that, the bundle was pretty basic as it was a budget card (Point of View).

However, I did get a component (R/G/B) to mini-din cable. I assume, because the component leads are female, that it does support some kind of video input?

My camera leads are svideo or yellow RCA and the card's VIVO input leads are component (red green and blue). Which cable would I connect the yellow lead to? :?

I'll try that then, thanks.
Do I need to install any special nvidia drivers/programs to view input from the VIVO?
Or would I just load up any video capture program and expect to see an image?

yo man, VIVO is ATI exclusive...thats y Nvidea sux lol. if u really want to connect ur cam to ur comp and do all the video editing stuff, return the Green and go for Red. if not, u can get one of the Hippopage( idonno how to spell the name :S) video card add on tuners.
