Bought a new Vizio TV(50") for the kids to watch their DVD collection. The player is an old Panasonic, 5 disc, with composite output, no HDMI. Player worked great on the old Samsung, but the VIZIO displays 2 identical images, (side by side) and not good images. What did I screw up? Everything else on the new TV works fine! The kids are giving me their evil eye.
DVD player is an old Panasonic DVD Home Theater Sound System Model No. SC-HT650. The new flat screen VIZIO is a 50" (49½") V505-G9. The video image displayed was side by side, each on half of the screen, with real poor color and clarity, but good enough to know what it was. 3 composite leads were matched color for color, so I thought that was right. In all my years doing some kind of industrial electronics and IT work I've never seen this.
IDK how that could be your fault, that is dead simple.
try swapping the yellow cable with the white, unplug yellow from each end and swap out with white at both ends. if its the cable you can swap and see. the only difference is the color of the insulation.
