Vizio E550i-B2 won't find AT&T Uverse router

We just set up the new smart tv in the den. Initially it would at least pick up the SSDI for our household WiFi, but now it won't even do that. Unable to access is the message we get when we enter the SSDI as hidden and the password. Our Uverse router is in a different room, but we easily access WiFi for other devices in the den. What's the problem?

Above is a guide to offer some suggestions. Start with rebooting the TV, modem and router. Also, look for firmware upgrades to both the router and the TV set.

If your TV has a LAN port, you can consider connecting it via a Powerline adapter, or a wireless bridge device.
