I have the Vizio sb3851-c0 5.1 system. It is currently hooked up through an optical cable to my TV.

When I run the sound bar speaker test it singles out each individual speaker as it should. My problem is with trying to run the Netflix test patterns video. It is picking up front left, right and center no problem but when it gets to the satellite speakers, the sounds coming from left rear are played in both satellite speakers and vice versa. I can't seem to single out the left and right satellite speakers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have been spending hours trying to get this right to no avail.

Thank you so much for your reply! I do see that my TV doesn't show up in that list so I think that may have been part of my problem. I just tried connecting my Xbox One to my soundbar directly though and am getting the same results. Actually, now that I am looking at my manual for the book, there is an option for "TruSurround". It says that if it is off it outputs in 3.1 and on is 5.1 TruSurround. I have had it on (like it says I should) but do you know if TruSurround is something that isn't actually putting out to all speakers?

Sorry for the second post. I think I just found the issue. It appears the Vizio uses virtual surround sound on their soundbars and causes the issue that I am having. Thank you again for your post!
