VIZIO Soundbar HDMI Passthrough to Non-ARC Projector?

I have a VIZIO SB36512-F9, Apple TV 4K, and an EIKI W4600.

I am trying to connect my Apple TV 4K to the VIZIO soundbar (HDMI In on the Soundbar) and then the soundbar to the EIKI projector (HDMI Out on the Soundbar) so that I can get Dolby Atmos on the soundbar and pass the video through to my projector.

However the projector will not recognize the video source being passed through the soundbar. VIZIO is saying that it is because my projector doesn't support ARC, but that seems like a different function than what I am trying to do (passthrough). Any ideas?

ARC IS a completely different function.
What happens if you connect the Apple TV to the Eiki directly?
The projector is 1200x800 and may not be compatible with the output of the Apply TV. Try connecting it to a regular TV and change the video resolution to match as close as you can the projector. 1080p should work but 720p may look better.

A quick perusal of the EIKI W4600 says this is not a 4K projector, so you should configure your AppleTV to do 1080, there is even a setting for 1280x800 which is your projector's native resolution. Try both.
