Hi!

I'm looking for a solution for my VM backups.
I need the software to be able to backup or replicate my VMs.

I have a physical server that runs a virtual machine serv16 and i would like to backup or replicate serv16 to a synology NAS.

What would be the best solution for my problem?

Thanks!
Kevin

Shutdown the VM, and copy the disk image files over to your NAS. Yes, it will take time. I am using this approach with "small" images of like 20gb, and it surely works.

Some VM hosts allow for integration of their backup with client' backups.

Also i don't really have a chance to shut it down every time i want to make a backup as the server is at a remote location about a 30 minute drive away and i would like to back the VM up every week day at mid night.
It can also be paid software.

Thanks!

What is the host operating system?

Did you look through my list of tools?
My systems backup up every night. No shutdown needed.
