VMware Linux Mint not storing data?

I have Linux Mint in a virtual machine and 25gb of storage dedicated to it, but everytime I do something inside the VM and reboot it the changes I made resort to default, it seems to have enough storage space to store the data but for some reason it won't.

I have version 6.0.1 of VMware.
Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong section of the forum, I couldn't find anywhere better related.

I don't know how I'd have done that if I had, and why that would be an option in the first place.

Don't worry as to why it's an option (although there are fairly obvious reasons). Just accept that it is a possibility that would explain your problem. It can't hurt to check, can it?

Did you install Mint there or are you just running off the live version? It's not like windows, you have the choice of installing from the iso or just running. If you don't install it probably won't remember your changes. That would be like running from a DVD.
