Voice chat for local network?

Hey guys, I recently started to game with my daughter and she likes us to use headsets.
For now we were using curse voice which is ok but I'm wondering what local network options are available as we can be just a room away and she comments about the delay.
We're both on Windows10 so I'm not sure if there is a native feature but my initial search didnt yield much info.

one option is mumble, which needs you to set up a server for it on either computer but since it is on lan, the delay is pretty much non-existant.

As far as i am aware, windows has done away with it's own "native" ways of doing computer to computer voice chat of old times.

Thank you sir. I remember hearing about all of these but wasn't aware this one could be hosted locally. Less than 10 minutes and we were set up.
My daughter also appreciated the fact I could set the sound minimums so she doesn't hear the TV my wife puts on and walks away from.
