VOIP calls intermitent even though high DL and UL broadband speed?

Hey,

As stated above, at my work we get between 20 and 50mbps download and 5-20mbps upload and yet the voice on skype and GoToMeeting seems to have issues.
When we are using both the programmes the audio seems to drop for a second every 5-10 seconds. Makes meetings a complete pain!

Any suggestions of fixes? A quick response would be great!

EDIT: Ping is about 15ms usually no higher

I work from home and had a similar issue. After checking all settings at home and working with IT to resolve, it wasn't until I called my ISP to inquire did I get it solved. I have absolutely no idea what they did because my U/L and D/L speeds never changed and I never changed plans for greater bandwidth. Tech at your ISP may be 24h so you may want to give them a call.

Unfortunately im in the position of both the ISP not admitting its them and our contracted tech support saying its the ISP (though i think they just arent interested).

I personally think its something to do with the router configuration, perhaps an overcrowded channel or incorrect port configuration.
