Hi, I don't know if this is the correct place to ask, and I apologize if it isn't. I have a D-Link DIR 655 N Router where the internet port is connected to a Linksys VoIP phone adapter ethernet port. The internet port of the VOIP device is connected to my cable modem. When it is connected and setup like that, I do not get my full 50Mbps internet connection and it gets cap at 10Mbps. My landlord uses VoIP services and everything needs to be connected that way. If I directly have the n router connect to my cable modem I can get my 50Mbit connection, but I was wondering if there's a way where I can get the correct internet speed while I have a VOIP phone adapter connected.

Most probably the VoIP device has a QOS (Quality Of Service) and it's capping your internet. I'm afraid there's no other solution to that aside from connecting your router directly to your modem.
