Hi guys
Is a 5.3v and 10.9v normal/safe while gaming?
So im having an interesting issue. For a while now I have been playing skyrim (a heavily modded verson) and I have consistently found that when I go to certain areas, my computer cuts out (switches off). So I avoided these areas.
However, after recently getting a new internal hdd to back up my ssd, I have had the hdd cutting power (and no longer being detected unless I rescan disks in computer manager) when ever doing something "power intensive" like playing games.
So I have investigated. Using command centre I have monitored my voltage and a noticed what I think is an anomaly. While gaming my voltages change from 5.1v and 12v to those above. Is this the cause of my computer crashing, what can I do to change it.
Using an online calculator my 600w should be enough. Specs;
MSI z97i motherboard
600w powersuppy
samsung 500gb ssd
windows 7
nvidia gtx 970 (gigabyte)
western digital re4-gp 2TB
