I have Asrock gaming K6 mobo with i5 6600k and i overclocked him at 4.2Ghz and i raised the voltage up to 1.2volts..when the cpu is at a normal state (browsing internet) runs at 800Mhz to save power but the voltage is still 1.2volts..the temperatures are 25-30 C at idle and 50 at full load..is it ok??

Solution
Those temps are fine. What are you using to look at real time voltage. Try using HWinfo and see if the core VID changes. It should, regardless of configuration. I've tried very hard to get a VID that was unchanging on most platforms and have really never been able to entirely make it static.

HWinfo (Run "sensors only" after installing): http://www.hwinfo.com/download.php

Voltage should change with the multi unless you have it set to remain at 1.2v. Go into the advanced power profile applet in control panel and set the minimum processor state to somewhere between 5-10% if you want it to fluctuate with the load. If it's on the performance profile, it will stay at min 100% and max 100%.

Also, make sure Intel speed step is enabled in the bios. Other than that, temps look ok. What are you using to stress the CPU load?

i finally found it and it was at 5% just like you told me but nothing changed...with these temperatures even if i have 1.2volts all the time my cpu is ok right?

1.2v is a limit, kind of. What your seeing sounds normal to me. If you set the advanced power profile options for processor state to 100/100 and turn off Intel speed step, plus disable automatic voltage controls in the bios, then you'd see full time 4.2Ghz and something close to a static 1.2v. It's better and less stressful on the hardware the way it is now though. Plus, will use less power on your utility bills.
