So, thanks to everyone here, I was able to OC my E8400 to 3.6ghz stable on stock cooling, maxing out at 63 C under load. However, I would like this to be lower, so I am playing around with the voltages.

In the BIOS, I have Load Line Calibration (vdroop destroyer) off, and vcore set at 1.25. Even at a mere 1.225 volts, Prime95 fails. CPU-Z, however, shows my idle as 1.2-1.216, and full load at 1.184. If my voltage is maxing out at 1.216, how come it becomes unstable under 1.25?

However, if I turn Load Line Calibration on I can go a little lower. Unfortunately, I have heard that LLC is dangerous. Is this true?

Which is better (temperature wise), lower vcore with LLC, or 1.25 vcore with vdroop?
