Hello. My i5 4690k is running at 4.4 gigahertz at 1.200 volts. Is this a good voltage? I am using a corsair h100i and am getting around 35 degrees Celsius idle and around85 degrees Celsius under a 100% load. Is this good? Thanks!
The voltage is good for 4.4Ghz but 85c on a h100i isn't very good, I see a maximum of 73c at 4.5Ghz with 1.2v with a Hyper 212.
Is the cooler seated correctly? How much paste did you use?
Defiantly a thermal paste problem. I'm running a 4690K at 4.5Ghz at 1.23 vcore with a H105 at a max of 55-60C. I know that the H105 is better than the H100i, but not that much. Once you get your thermal paste it should go down by around 20C or more.
After a few trials and errors with the thermal paste I believe that I have solved the problem. Idle the cpu is 35C while under prime95 the highest temp it went was 92C and after that test dropped to the low 60C. I don't know why this happened but those 90C temps did not show up again. Thanks for all of your answers and suggestion!

Which version of Prime95 are you using? 26.6 is the best one to use.

If you open Prime95 and click "Help", then "About Prime95..." it will show you which version you have.

Thank you. After testing it again my cpu has not even gone up to the high 60s under 100% load! Thanks!
