How can I FIX MY PC @ HOME. I RAN THE CHKDSK AND i SAW VOLUME C IS DIRTY. HOW DO I FIX IT.

Click in this order as the situation permits:

Start>Run>CMD

Now a black DOS box is showing, enter this:

chkdsk /f <and press the enter key>

It should run when Windows is restarted, and will tell you of such as soon as you invoke chkdsk /f.

The only way to really fix it is to try and wipe it with a low level format utility from your disk manufacturer other to erase it with a erase utility

Most new hard drives made in the past 10 years have no way to low level format them anymore.
The drive manufacturer has the equipment plus the special contact-type connector need to do this.
If you find one that can be truly low-level formatted let me know, I'll buy one to play with it.
