Question Volume issue with amplifier ?

I bought a pair of DT 999 Pro 80-ohm Headphones and I'm currently using a FiiO E10K USB DAC Amplifier.
If the volume knob is turned past 5 I get no increase in volume. Windows and in-game volume is at 100%. This happens on high or low gain. Is there something I am doing wrong or do I need something with more power?

I don't recall having this problem with my ATH-AD700X headphones, but those are only 32ohm.

Is the actual sound volume the same at knob setting of 5 as it was at the maximum setting with your old headphones?

The volume knob on the DAC is at 5. If I go higher to let's say 6, there is no increase in volume. With the ATH-AD700x if I went to 6, it was way too loud.
