I tried searching, but I may be using the wrong keywords because nothing comes up related.

After the most recent update, the volume level popup, along with the popup for when adjusting brightness, doesn't show up anymore.

Here is a picture of what I'm talking about. Well not the media controls. Just the volume level. A similar popup for screen brightness appears when adjusting brightness from keyboard shortcuts. It's gone.

This is annoying because I have to always bring my mouse to hover over the volume icon to see what's the level instead of being told immediately as I change, like it used to.

Anybody with a lead how to reenable it?

Thanks! One of the options from superuser.com fixed it. I disabled and reenabled the playback devices in the sound control panel thing and it came back.
