Issue:

Home theatre - Sony BDV-E3200 Real 5.1ch Dolby Digital Blu-ray Home Theatre System
Tv - LG 43UK6560PTC (43-inch) 4K Ultra HD Smart TV
I am using the above tv and paired it with the above home theatre system. I have noticed an issue in this setup. While I am watching films in Netflix and prime video (all the other platforms also support 5.1 output but I only have the subscription of these two), mainly during action scenes, The sound suddenly gets unbearably loud and I have to decrease the volume. in normal scenes with conversation, it sounds too low and I have to increase the volume again. There seems to be no issue when playing DVDs. this has became an issue and I am fed up by it. To solve this issue, I searched the internet. In it, I found that most of the people are suggesting certain things i tried them out and these are the results:
suggestion 1) increase the volume of the center cannel
result - by increasing it, I actually get a somewhat improved vocals but, the other things like explosions, music etc. are getting very loud again. So, I ruled this out.
suggestion 2) reverse the center channel with front speakers to test is there is any issue with the centre speaker
result - in my home theatre system, the groves where the speakers are plugged in have a different shape for different speakers. So, I also ruled this out.
suggestion 3) changing the sound effect (Dolby, DTS etc.)
result - No matter what sound effect i keep it in, Vocals still sound muffled.
Checks that i have done:
  1. Both the OTT platforms are updated
  2. They have no options inside the app to tweak audio settings
  3. All the speakers are working fine
  4. DTV audio setting (in TV) is set to auto (I have no idea what it is, i have given the options available in images provided)
  5. They are Connect via a good quality HDMI cable via eARC and Simplink turned on
There are only basic calibration setting in the Amplifier (all settings that are present are provided in the images provided). When I played a movie in youtube that has only stereo
audio, the voice here also sounds very crisp. This problem is only present when watching films through OTT platforms. I played a film through a DVD and i sounded really good, The vocals
are very clear. I am using standard components but still it sounds bad. I cannot find any relevant answers in the internet and I think that this is a huge issue for many people. That's why
i am writing this. Anyone please suggest me anything to solve this. I am ready to provide any more information if necessary.

Lol you’re experiencing what’s called dynamic audio. You’re just going to have to get used to it or set your device for nighttime audio where it regulates the audio for you and doesn’t allow such massive swings.

Other than that, this is perfectly normal in movies and films use dynamic audio.

like I said, go into your TV settings under the audio category, and choose the option for like a quiet or nighttime setting

dynamic audio is great for classical music and large bands because you can hear the quietest sounds to the loudest sounds the way that they’re supposed to occur in nature

Oh really? I saw it in a video by vox where they addressed this issue. I think it is true tho. I have a night mode in audio settings and i will try it out. Thanks for the reply!

I put it in night mode and set the volume of center to max. Still, the same issue is there. I am running out of ideas😔
