[SOLVED] Volume slider doesn't work with headphones

So I am using the HyperX Flight , they are equipped with a volume slider.
The slider works fine when just browsing and it works fine with some applications , but with others it does not work at all.
What I mean is that let's say I've opened up Resident Evil 3 (latest example) and I want to change the volume, well when using the slider nothing happens.
I have to alt tab to the desktop for it to work and for me to actually see the Windows slider go up and down.

Anyone know a fix for this?

maybe see if it has a firmware update pending.

Prior to that can you specify the version for your OS? Might want to see if your platform is pending a BIOS update. Then you can try and uninstall the device from Device Manager and reboot the system(all prior to the firmware update) and see if the issue is resolved.
