VPN and Spoofing IP address for youtube tv

I moved away from Detroit about 10 years ago, and really miss all the sports programming. I'd like to sign up for youtube tv, but it is not available in my area right now. My brother, who lives in the Detroit area, has youtube tv, and signed in on my xbox down near Macon, GA last week when he was down here. I was getting all the Detroit area programming for about 3-4 hours, and then it kicked me out for being out the Detroit area.

Is it possible for me to spoof my IP address to the Detroit area, sign up for youtube tv, and get all the local Detroit area programming?

I had heard that the internet tv services are good at blocking people from doing that, so I wanted to ask some people that may have some expertise in spoofing IP addresses and VPN's. Thanks
